The UCI sailing will travel to two events this weekend, women to University
of South Florida and Co-ed to Stanford for the McIntyre Team race. Both
events will have top level competition and warm weather which the girls will
enjoy. It sure beats traveling to the mid Atlantic or new England.

REGATTA REPORT: Skies were sunny all weekend, with temperatures reaching the
low 70's. Saturday's races began in a light 4-5 knot NW breeze. About
mid-day, a 6-7 knot southeasterly arrived unexpectedly, but finally died to
allow the west seabreeze at 8-14 knots to build. Sunday's racing began in a
northeasterly 10-12 knot breeze, but it diminished rapidly, leaving Tampa
Bay glassy by mid-day. Courses were Gold Cup.

McIntyre Team Race
Stanford University
March 5-6, 2005
Saturday's breeze was slow to build, but filled in around 10:30, building to
6-10 knots. Race Committee ran 41 races of a 45 race round robin. Two
starts of Fj's & one start of 420's to keep the races moving. With a High
pressure system building overhead, Sunday's breeze was slower to fill. RC
managed to finish the rotation and sneak in a final four in 4-6 knots before
4pm. All N-Courses.
Stanford supplied colored pinnies with school letters to each team (in
school colors!) to make spectating easier! Seemed to be a big hit!
On-the-water judging by Bryan McDonald, Grant Baldwin, Don Becker, Steve
Bourdow, Jeff COndon, Holt COndon, Kirk Brown, Dave Kenny, Matt Hooks, Katie
Schuman, Jen Morgan, Ted Conrads, Nick Adamson, AJ Crane, Jen Porter, Liz
Shearer.
Big thank you to Sequioa YC for hosting a great surf/turf dinner on Saturday
night. Great to have Barbara & Dave McIntyre (FOrmer Stanford captain
Jeremy McIntyre's parents) on hand all weekend, & handing out the trophies
on Sunday! Racing was very close all weekend. COngrats to USC for a
spotless win.
