Redhat seems fine to me, except you have to get your UTC variable set
correctly in /etc/sysconfig/clock - it has to match up with your choice
of UTC or localtime in your hardware clock (unix likes UTC, windows
likes localtime, so linux gives you the option). At least this is true
on 7.3 and a ways back.

Redhat 8 gives you a selection of ntp servers to synch with at install
time. During the boot, it said it was opening my firewall to let ntp
through. I haven't checked on the /etc/sysconfig/clock thing yet on 8.
I haven't needed to - it was that easy.
