I know ntp and have used it a while, but lately I switched to chrony (I 
don't have a website, search for it in freshmeat), because it is a more 
complete package, comes with clock slewing, and requires zero 
maintenance once it is set up (unlike ntp, I have had a lot of problems 
with it).
Just on this machine it segfaults after a few minutes, and I wanted to 
fix the clock fast, so I did it manually ...
