About the Program
The Orange County Business Incubation Network, created in response to a
September 2006 National Academy of Sciences recommendation has so far
spawned Orange Coast Medical Ventures and Tech Coast Works which are
business incubators for medical devices and information technology. With
the help of these incubators, more than 15 new companies are now in
various stages of development and many new enterprises are emerging from
UCI and the Orange County community that will benefit from the services
and support offered by these incubators.

This Entrepreneur's Forum will offer attendees insights into the
business incubation process through several case studies of current
portfolio companies. There will also be a review of the range of
benefits and assistance that the new incubators can provide to start-up
enterprises drawing on a vast network of best-in-class service and
business resource providers and the integral involvement of MBA students
through the Don Beall Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the
Paul Merage School of Business.
