The National Science Foundation has announced a funding program for
demonstration projects or implementation projects on
"Cyberinfrastructure Training, Education, Advancement, and Mentoring for
Our 21st Century Workforce (CI-TEAM)". For more information consult the
NSF URL : http://www.nsf.gov/publications/pub_summ.jsp?ods_key=nsf06548
Such a program could be tied to any of several different disciplines,
such as Geology, Education, Engineering, Math/Physical Sciences,
Social/Behavioral Sciences, or Computer/Information Sciences.
UCI can take part in any number of collaborations with other
institutions, but it can be the lead organization on only one proposal.
For proposals in which UCI would be the lead, there is in internal
deadline of April 21 for on-campus competitive review. See
