UCI's New Initiatives in New Media Arts - An Informal Reception

The New Media Arts Layer of The California Institute for
Telecommunications and Information Technology [Cal-(IT)2], the graduate
program in Arts, Computation and Engineering (ACE) and the Beall Center
for Art and Technology invite you to a special informational
introductory reception on new media arts research initiatives and
graduate educational opportunities at UC Irvine. The evening will serve
to introduce faculty, staff and students to new and upcoming media arts
research activities in Cal-(IT)2, the newly formed ACE program and their
partnership with the Beall Center. The reception will include informal
briefings by Cal-(IT)2/ACE faculty and research staff and give
participants the opportunity to learn more about these initiatives and
how they might get involved. This event will take place during the run
of "Reading Frankenstein," the current new-media performance work at the
Beall Center, just prior to the May 29th performance.
