Concert and tribute to Mikis Theodorakis, this Friday.


The Archdiocesan Cathedral Choir in conjunction with the Hellenic Book Club of New York  present: The Poetry and Music of Mikis Theodorakis
Friday, May 13th at 7PM - Chiotes Hall at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity

New York, NY: The famed Archdiocesan Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Maestro Costas Tsourakis, will present an evening of some of Theodorakis' most beloved songs, sung by members of the Choir and Youth Choir. The event will feature renowned author and Theodorakis collaborator Gail Holst-Warhaft highlighting the influence of Theodorakis' poetry on his music. Featured songs will include selections from The Mauthausen Trilogy, Axion Esti, and works featuring the composer's own poetry.  Food and refreshments will be provided.
