Dear MGSA list-members
In response to the challenges faced by students, scholars and the wider public during the current pandemic, Intellect has made available FREE OF CHARGE a number of issues of the Journal of Greek Media and Culture for one month consecutively.
For the whole of September, the special issue 'Contemporary Greek Film Cultures: Weird Wave and Beyond' (2.2, Autumn 2016), edited by Vangelis Calotychos, Lydia Papadimitriou and Yannis Tzioumakis is FREE to download - so please take advantage of this, while you can!
You will find articles by Panayiota Mini, Tatjana Aleksic, Rosa Barotsi, Tonia Kazakopoulou, Ina Karkani, Mikela Fotiou, as well as an interview with Athina Rachel Tsangari (who has, more recently, directed the BBC series Trigonometry, now on iplayer).
To access the introduction, articles, interviews and reviews 'plus' materials, go to the journal's website (issue 2.2) and follow the Ingenta links to buy each item individually. You will be able to access them free of charge.

We hope that you will find the articles insightful - and that this will give you the opportunity to familiarise yourselves with the work of our peer-reviewed journal (which was launched in 2015 and is already included in Scopus).
We also hope that you will consider submitting articles from your research to the JGMC. The next open-themed issue that we are still reviewing submissions for (8.1) will be edited by Dimitris Eleftheriotis and Lydia Papadimitriou. Please consult the journal's website for the open-theme call for papers, and for the notes for contributors.
Enjoy - and best wishes,
Lydia
