[MGSA-L] New book on Italy's postwar decolonization

I'm happy to announce a new public just published by Cornell University

Pamela Ballinger, *T**he World Refugees Made: Decolonization and the
Foundation of Postwar Italy *(Cornell UP, 2020).

The book explores Italy’s remaking in light of the loss of a wide range of
territorial colonies, protectorates, and provinces in Africa and the
Balkans, including the Dodecanese Islands; the repatriation of Italian
nationals from those territories; and the integration of these “national
refugees” into a country devastated by war and overwhelmed by foreign
displaced persons from Eastern Europe.
