The "Rethinking Greece" series of interviews, launched in September 2015 -
when Greece was at the centre of the international discussions due to the
Eurozone crisis - in order to probe aspects of the "Greek exceptionalism”,
has already published 50 pieces, attracting the attention of analysts,
media commentators
as well as of the general public interested to know more about Greece.

"Rethinking Greece" interviews aim at fostering “unorthodox” perspectives
and narratives on modern Greece, through conversations with [mainly Greek]
social scientists and public intellectuals who comment on a variety of
issues such as Greece's international reputation and its place in the
Eurozone crisis narratives (Ares Kalandides), the "Greek Crisis", Greece's
relationship with Europe and its position in modernity (Stathis Gourgouris,
Polymeris Voglis, Athina Athanasiou, Stathis Kalyvas, Evi Gkotzaridis,
Aristides Hatzis), Greece's continuities and discontinuities with its
ancient past (Johanna Hanink, Despina Lalaki), Greece’s economic
development (Christina Agriantoni, Giorgos Argitis), the advent to power of
SYRIZA party and its relation to European Social Democracy (Gerassimos
Moschonas, Michalis Spourdalakis, Yannis Stavrakakis, Giannis Balabanidis),
Greece’s foreign policy and geopolitics (Alexis Heraclides, Georges
Prevelakis), Hellenic Diaspora (Yiorgos Anagnostou), Migrant, Refugees,
LGBT claims and human rights (Dimitris Christopoulos, Lina Venturas, Stella
Belia) Poverty and Social Policy in Greece (Christos Papatheodorou, Maria
Petmesidou, Manos Matsaganis), Family and Sexuality (Dimitris Papanikolaou,
Dimitra Vassiliadou), as well as Modern Greek Studies Abroad (Roderick
Beaton, Dimitris Tziovas, Miltos Pechlivanos, Maria Boletsi). Major
international public intelectuals have also contributed to the "Rethinking
Greece" interviews (Nancy Fraser, Donatella Della Porta).
