Professor Kostis Kourelis's Pallas Lecture, "Excavating Home: Archaeologies
of the Greek American Experience" (March 21, 2019). is now posted on the UM
Modern Greek "Lectures at UM" webpage here <https://vimeo.com/326391134>, and
here is the description
<https://lsa.umich.edu/modgreek/window-to-greek-culture/lectures-at-u-m.html>Kostis
develops a methodology for exploring transnational connections of
Greektowns and Greek villages. Specifically Kostis also walks us through
some of his low budget, high results methods for excavating uninhabited
villages, guided by interviews with living descendants of migrants, on the
one hand, and reconstructions of Greektowns based on city plans and census
records, on the other. It's an unbelievably rich project. .

It was a marvelous lecture! I'm glad that it is available now for people
who could not attend.
