[MGSA-L] Boston University Philhellenes fundraiser: LALAOUNIS-Hellenic Beauty: Ancient and Modern

*The Boston University Philhellenes present “LALAOUNIS – Hellenic Beauty:
Ancient and Modern”*,Thursday, November 8th,  7pm at the Metcalf Trustee
Center at Boston University.



This special fundraiser features *Ioanna Lalaounis*, the director of the
Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum in Athens, Greece speaking on her father’s
work and legacy, and the mission of the Museum.



The evening includes a three-course dinner, silent auction, raffle, and
entertainment. The raffle provides the opportunity to win two stunning
pieces of Lalaounis jewelry: a gold and sodalite pendant, and gold and
sterling silver cufflinks.



Proceeds support the *Boston University Philhellenes *mission of promoting
the study of Greek language and culture, and provides scholarships for
their annual Summer Study in Greece program for college students. The event
is made possible with the support of the *Consulate General of Greece in
Boston*, and the generosity of *gold **sponsor*, the* Gerondelis
Foundation.*



Tickets are $100, and are available at Eventbrite (http://soo.gd/lalaounis
 ).

Tickets should be purchased by November 5th.  Because this is a seated
dinner, advance purchase is required and no tickets will be sold at the
door.
