Stefanos Tsivopoulos is a Greek artist and filmmaker living and working 
between Amsterdam, Athens and New York. Tsivopoulos' art practice is 
typified by a strong cinematic language that blends together historical 
with allegoric narratives, and the urgency to examine the social, 
political and economic aspects that determine our world today. His works 
have been the subject of solo presentations in MuCEM, Museum of 
Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean, Marseille (2014); 
Cycladic Museum, Athens (2014); Art Basel Miami South Beach, Miami 
(2013); Stella Art Foundation, Moscow (2013); ISCP, New York (2011). A 
selection of recent group exhibitions include venues such as documenta 
14, Friedericianum, Kassel (2017); M KHA, Antwerp (2017); Kunsthaus 
Zurich (2016); MACBA, Barcelona (2015); Tate Modern, London (2014); Haus 
Der Culturen Der Welt, Berlin (2013); Witte de With, Rotterdam (2010), 
and international biennials such as Manifesta 8, the 2nd Beijing 
Biennial, and the 1st Athens Biennial. He represented Greece, in the 
55th Venice Biennial with his video installation History Zero.
