Call for contributors for Modern Greece, to be published by ABC-CLIO Publishing



Modern Greece would be part of a new series of thematic encyclopedias that focus on different countries, called Understanding Modern Nations. Its emphasis will be on Greece today. It will written for a general audience, including advanced high school and college students.



The format will consist of overviews on the following topics: Geography, History, Government and Politics, Economy, Religion and Thought, Social Classes and Ethnicities, Gender, Marriage, and Sexuality, Education, Language, Etiquette, Literature and Drama, Art and Architecture, Music and Dance, Food, Leisure and Sports, and Media and Popular Culture. Each overview will be followed by short entries related to each topic.
