Call for Proposals

2017 CES Conference on "Sustainability & Transformation"

CES welcomes panel proposals for the 24th International Conference of Europeanists, to be held in Glasgow from July 12-14, 2017. The theme of the conference is Europe’s potential for sustainability: the capacity to remain diverse and productive in the long run, rather than focusing on short-term fixes. Proposals may be submitted from August 15 to October 4, 2016. For more information, consult the Call for Papers<http://councilforeuropeanstudies.org/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=29060&qid=2113093>.<http://councilforeuropeanstudies.org/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=29060&qid=2113093>

We’re also thrilled to welcome the Conference Program Committee: co-chairs Akos Rona-Tas (University of California, San Diego) and Jonathan Hopkin (London School of Economics), Karen Anderson (University of Southhampton), Eamonn Butler (University of Glasgow), Maria Oikonomou (University of Vienna), and Kim Scheppele (Princeton University).

To catch up on this year’s conference, watch Paul Krugman’s keynote speech on the state of the European Union on CritCom<http://councilforeuropeanstudies.org/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=29061&qid=2113093>.<http://councilforeuropeanstudies.org/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=29062&qid=2113093>
