The Center for Modern Greek Studies, the Nikos Kazantzakis Chair at SF State University, cordially invites you to a special seminar by Fondas Ladis, who is working on a biography on a Greek American named Black Jack Jerome, a legendary gangster figure in the Greek community of the Bay Area.

Visiting from Greece, Ladis is a writer, journalist and lyricist, who has collaborated with the great Greek composer, Mikis Theodorakis, and written a number of books including a study on the city of Athens and a book on the contributions of Greeks and Greek Americans in the early history of Hollywood.

He will give his talk in Greek but we will translate for those who do not speak the language. He has a short film on Black Jack Jerome he would like to show.

Please join us. Tuesday, June 2, 7 pm, in HUM 577, the Center for Modern Greek Studies' library.
