The Modern Greek Program at the University of Michigan continues its long-term collaboration with the campus Confucius Institute
THURSDAY, APRIL 2
Dancing Together: Chinese and Greek Dances
Featuring: Moli Performing Arts Ensemble (茉莉艺术团), Michigan Hellenic Student Association, Yassou Dancers of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Ann Arbor, Hellenic Dance Company of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Toledo, Ohio
Location: Anderson Room, Michigan Union (map), Ann Arbor campus
7-8 pm: Dance Demonstration and Performance
8-9 pm: Dance Workshop
Free and open to the public
Continuing the shared exploration of modern Chinese and Greek cultures that started at U-M three years ago, dancers from the Midwest come together to showcase representative works from their rich traditions. A unique event introduced by Michigan faculty who will help a broad audience enjoy song, music, and dance and perhaps join the festivities. This presentation is co-sponsored by the Confucius Institute and the Modern Greek Program at the University of Michigan.
