Subject: Announcement: "From Roman to Early Christian Cyprus: A Conference on Religion and Archaeology" (flyer attached)

Dear Colleague:

We are excited to invite you to a conference titled “From Roman to Early Christian Cyprus: A Conference on Religion and Archaeology,” to be held at Harvard Divinity School from 2-3 October 2015. We are grateful for the sponsorship of Harvard Divinity School, the A. G. Leventis Foundation, Princeton University, and the Battelle Memorial Foundation.

Please see the attached flyer for information about registration, which is free. Registration and the schedule for the conference are both available on the conference website mentioned in the flyer. You can also direct your browser immediately to http://projects.iq.harvard.edu/cyprus2015/home.

Ancient Cyprus was an important crossroads in antiquity, and its Roman archaeological materials and early Christian texts and monuments have great potential to enrich our scholarship. We think this conference will be an engaging introduction to and evaluation of these materials and do hope you’ll join us!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at cyprusconference2015 at gmail.com<mailto:cyprusconference2015 at gmail.com>.

Please feel free to forward this information to colleagues and to let graduate students know about the conference as well.

With warm wishes,
Laura Nasrallah (Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity) for herself and for co-organizers
Professor AnneMarie Luijendijk, Department of Religious Studies, Princeton University
Dr. Charalambos Bakirtzis, Director, Foundation Anastasios G. Leventis, Cyprus
