LECTURE ABSTRACT
The paper presents a case study on the liberated Greek peasants' intensive
activity towards the establishment of family property in reference to the
institutional pace for the formation of a national economy, during the first
two decades of the Greek state, in the prefecture of Eleia's extensive plain
region. Sub-subjects in this research journey, such as the instrumental role of
the dot in the creation of exchange values, the penetration of money-economy
mechanisms into a use-value agrarian framework, types of collegial farming or
pastoral entrepreneurship, the combination of traditional forms of yield with
truly modern commercial activity, notably the export-oriented currants trade,
serve to illustrate this period's sound link between national economy and
private life.
