On Tuesday, 16 October at 22:00 in the evening ERT documentary showing
the history of the 2012 independent production titled 'History In
addition, By-standing and standing-by'' 2012, directed by John P.
Terzidou and production Kortsaris.

The documentary chronicles the destruction of the Jewish community of
Thessaloniki, the oldest Jewish community in Europe alongside the
unknown story of the rescue of the smallest Jewish community in Greece
at the same time, that of neighboring Katerini.

This is an essay documentary, rare photographs and archival material.
Consists of personal testimonies of people who lived and survived the
events as well as historical, sociological and psychoanalytic
attitudes known historians and theorists.

The prevailing perceptions in Greece for the period of German
occupation and extermination of the Jews, the historical memory and
mnimoktonia, the collective trauma and suppression, construction of
official history as well as the stereotypes that follow this
historical period until today, are some of the topics that discuss the
documentary.

Interviews with
Rena Molho, Stratos Dordanas, Maria Kavala, Pari-Papamichos Chronaki,
Steven Bauman, Catherine Fleming, Andrew and Nick Pantazopoulos
Tzavara.

The film screened at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in Chalkida
Documentary Festival and was scheduled to be played at the
International Festival of Fort Lauderdale in Florida on Oct. 28.
