TAUGHT MASTERS IN MODERN GREEK LITERATURE AT KING¹S COLLEGE LONDON (2012-13)



The Centre for Hellenic Studies at King¹s College London invites
applications for the one-year (full-time) MA in Modern Greek Studies
(Literature), the only programme of its kind in the UK, for entry in
September 2012.

Modules (courses) to be offered in 2012-13:



Taught modules

Greek modernity and the city (20 credits)

Modern Greek poetry and the epic tradition (20 credits)

Poetic geography: landmarks of the nation in the modern Greek poetic
tradition, 1821-1940  (20 credits)

Practical criticism (40 credits)

One module from the Comparative Literature programme

Seminar series

? The MA programme includes a weekly student-run postgraduate seminar during
teaching seminars, attended by MA and PhD students working on Modern Greek
topics

? The Comparative Literature Research Seminar meets five terms per term

? The CHS Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies seminar
