... KM “in the Trenches”?! don’t recall seeing him in any soup-kitchen helping out the now legion homeless, unless this $59 fee is going toward a shelter his family plans on setting up, to say nothing of his “front-row seat” in the SIMENS scandal. Jeezzzzzzzz.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies at SFU has been notified by the Fraser Institute that the institute is holding a talk titled "Greece at the Crossroads: A View from the Trenches" as part of their Vancouver Influential Speaker Program.

Greece at the Crossroads: A View from the Trenches

Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greek parliamentarian and son of former Greek Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis, has had a front-row seat as his country struggles with debt, flirts with bankruptcy, and faces increasing blame for the financial turmoil now engulfing the European Union. Join us as Mr. Mitsotakis provides us with an insider’s account of how Greece is struggling to regain financial stability and the steps the country, and its lenders, need to take to stave off financial collapse.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis is a contender for a senior minister position in the upcoming Greek elections. He is the former chief executive officer of the National Bank of Greece and Alpha Bank and was Managing Director of NBG Venture Capital Group. He holds an MBA from Harvard and MA in International Relations from Stanford.
