Dear friends,

A student of mine asked the following question. Can anyone help:

"Do you know if any work has been done on early Greek perceptions of America? I was recently browsing the British Library's online collection of Greek manuscripts and found a couple of works by a Greek/Bulgarian voivode and other works from the eighteenth century on America (and Columbus) and was curious if anyone had written on the subject. Thanks in advance!"

Please direct your answers to Scott Kennedy at kennedy at email.arizona.edu<mailto:kennedy at email.arizona.edu> or to the entire list, as you see fit.

Thanks in advance,
