[MGSA-L] Greece forbids the sail of "Freedom Flotilla II" for Gaza

I am not sure I understand to substance of Mr Kallenos's message, with whom
I often agree on issues relating to the survival of Hellenism.

The substance of relations between states relates to interests first and
foremost, not sentiments, however earnest such may be. The Greek Government,
whatever may be its other actions, has determined that it is to the
country's interest to assume a friendly posture both with the Arab *and* the
Israeli side. Thus the positive approach to Israel is a long overdue move
since there is much to be gained by good relations with all sides. (it is
legitimate at this point to question what was gained in terms of Greek
interests by the decades-long pro-Arab, pro-Muslim tilt -- the destruction
of the Greek (and other Christian) communities in Egypt and elsewhere
provide a grim commentary by way of answer to such a question).

Besides, it is incomprehensible to me why the Greeks should be sympathetic
to the group that controls Gaza (rather viciously it must be added, as is
illustrated by the systematic murder of many of its al Fatah opponents):
that group enthusiastically embraces the Islamofascist regime of Ankara and
declared Erdogan a second "fetih," (i.e. conqueror, "porthetes,"), the first
being Mehmet Fetih, the conqueror of Constantinople).

As for Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ, in Greek AOZ), the concern of the
Greeks should be focused primarily on declaring those of Greece and Cyprus;
contrary to Mr Kallenos's assertion, the vast majority of the Greeks (in
Greece and Cyprus) in fact seems instinctively to understand that a
declaration of the EEZ is to the interest of the ethnos, indeed presents one
of the few economic bright spots, if only the Papandreou government had the
courage to declare it. The EEZ of the Palestinians should concern the Greeks
only insofar that they could become points of Turkish or other hostile
leverage against Greece or Cyprus...
