Jean-Pierre Vesperini, writing before a week at the French
"Le Monde", proposes a devaluation of the euro to the
dollar, as a means out of the Greek debt situation.

According to the translation of this article that follows,
Vesperini argues that the current exchange rate of the euro
is only benefitting the economy of Germany and those
countries having close ties with it. A devaluation of the
euro will result in a development for the whole euro zone.

This is one more article, and indeed in a major newspaper of
the West, claiming that there are more than one ways out of
the current situation. That what prevailed is the currently
dominant policy (surrendering Greek sovereignty to the IMF
and European Central Bank, and severely lowering the
standard of living of the Greek people), can apparently only
be explained by non-economic political choices from both the
Greek government, the dominant European countries and IMF.

I don't have a link to the original article in "Le Monde".
Perhaps someone could provide one --for those that can read
French, that is.
