Subject: The Business of Emergency Medicine Made Easy

This course was created to educate emergency physicians about the basics of
starting and running a group practice. A wide range of business topics will
be covered in lecture format including business plan development,
negotiation techniques, key corporate alliances, payroll and bookkeeping,
and enhancing job security. Physicians will leave the course with more
confidence and a clear understanding of what it takes to launch a practice.

Date: Saturday, October 16, 2004

Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm (lunch break 12:00-1:00pm)

Place: Argent Hotel, 50 Third St, San Francisco, CA 94103

Fee: $195.00 Per Person

Reservations: Online registration is available. Visit www.aaem.org or call
800 884-2236 for more information.

The course leader is Tom Scaletta, MD FAAEM, Co-Director of AAEM Services,
and an emergency physician who likes to share practical, group start-up
knowledge.

David Millstein, Esq. of Millstein Associates will provide insight into the
legal issues involved in group formation. David has extensive experience
defending the right of emergency physicians and was lead counsel for
plaintiff in ACHP vs. Catholic Healthcare West.

This course was first given as a pre-conference to the 2004 AAEM Scientific
Assembly and here is what attendees had to say:

"Finally learning about things that they didn't teach in residency."

"This expands my level of knowledge setting up a business and obtaining a
contract."

"Excellent, a lot combined into one day."

"This information is not readily available elsewhere."

In order to increase the individualized attention to questions, the course
is limited to the first 50 subscribers.
