Family,

August Wilson, the most celebrated African American playwright in American history has one of his signature plays showing locally at the South Coast Repertory through November 11th. I've scheduled a group night for any interested parties for Thursday, November 9th. Student ticket prices are $10 but students must show their id. If students purchase in advance, use code #161657. Your tickets will be held at will call as you will still need to show your student ID.

For all other's there is a "Friends of Gerald Parham" rate of $30, (normally $66 on a Thursday). You will need to go online to purchase your tickets and enter the following discount code #16210. You can purchase ticket before or anytime up until show time. You may also purchase in person the night of, using the same code. Feel free to share with your family and friends.

For more about the play:

1904. Many former slaves and descendants venturing north find themselves at Aunt Ester's door in Pittsburgh's Hill District. A renowned cleanser of souls claiming to be 285 years old, Ester provides solace, advice and healing. Citizen Barlow, racked with guilt over letting another man take the rap for one of his crimes, desperately wants to be pure again. And Aunt Ester may be his only hope. From the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Fences, comes a mystical story of freedom, justice and redemption.

Be well,

Gerald
