**The Friends of Art History ("FOAH") Internship Program supports
internships for UCI Art History undergraduates. One internship will be
offered which will extend from winter through spring quarters 2013.The
intern will have the opportunity to develop skills in art history
research assisting various professors in the execution of their ongoing
research. The program is generously funded by FOAH and administered by
the Department of Art History.
This internship will allow the intern to work directly with faculty to
develop practical research and career-related skills. It is ideal for
students interested in pursuing careers directly or indirectly related
to art history or higher education. The intern will participate in the
ongoing work of faculty members, completing specific projects such as
library research, image sourcing, and cataloging research materials.
Applicants must meet the following selection criteria:
·Be enrolled as an undergraduate *junior, senior, or equivalent*, and
declared as an Art History major at UCI;
·Be attentive to detail;
·Possess a familiarity with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint; and
·Have demonstrated research and writing skills.
A 2-4 page final summary report is required upon completion of the
internship, which will be shared in whole or in part with the internship
sponsor (FOAH).
Term: Part-time during Winter and Spring Quarters 2013 for a total of
60//hours.
Specific dates and days/times will be negotiated.
Application Deadline: *Monday, November 26*
Stipend $1,000.
