Art History/*

The Friends of Art History ("FOAH") Internship Program supports 
internships for UCI undergraduates who are art history majors. One 
internship will be offered this summer to a student in the Department of 
Art History. The intern will have the opportunity to develop skills in 
art history research by working for various professors and in 
administration by assisting the staff in the department. The program is 
generously funded by the FOAH and administered by the Department of Art 
History.


      This internship will allow the intern to work directly with
      faculty and staff to develop practical research and career-related
      skills. It is ideal for students interested in pursuing careers
      directly or indirectly related to art history or higher
      education. The intern will be exposed to daily higher education
      operations and will participate in the ongoing work of faculty
      members, completing specific projects or portions of larger
      departmental initiatives.

Applicants must meet these selection criteria:

·Be enrolled as an undergraduate junior, senior, or equivalent, and 
declared as an Art History major at UCI;

·Be attentive to detail and familiar with productivity and design 
software (specifically, Photoshop, Excel, and Word);

·Possess demonstrated research and writing skills;

·Be available to work on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A 2-4 page final summary report is required upon completion of the 
internship, which will be shared in whole or in part with the internship 
sponsor (FOAH).

*Term:* Part-time, a total of 65 hours, summer only. Available dates are 
July 2 through September 28, 2012, with exact start and end dates to be 
negotiated.

*Application Deadline: *May 30, 2012.

*Stipend: *$1,000 for the full term.
