We are all looking forward to seeing you back at school next week.If 
you're a new student, or not, please come to our new student orientation 
on Tuesday, September 20 at 1 pm in the Art History conference room on 
the second floor (Room 2200).

We are planning lots of interesting activities this fall, so please 
check out the "Events" link on our AH homepage at 
http://www.humanities.uci.edu/arthistory/.And we've added a lot of 
useful links to the website as well, which can be found in the "Links" 
section.I'll be adding winter course descriptions, more events, and 
other stuff over the next month or two, so please check back 
periodically and spend some time visiting the links we've provided to 
help you navigate this wonderful, but very large, university.

Among those links is Zotlink, which will allow you to search for jobs.If 
you are in search of one, it would be wise to get started on your search 
and submitting applications as soon as possible.And by the way, we have 
an opening in Art History as follows:

The AH Department is currently seeking to hire two work-study students 
for the 2011-12 academic year.

-One student will work as a Digital Image Production Assistant (Job ID 
739111), scanning print media and digitizing slides for use in research 
and teaching; experience in digitizing media and editing digital images 
is desired.

-The second work-study student will work as a Student Office Assistant 
(Job ID 739142), supporting the daily operations of the undergraduate 
and graduate programs, scanning PDFs for research and teaching, and 
assisting faculty and staff as needed.

We would be thrilled to hire an Art History major for one or both of 
these positions, so please look for our postings on ZotLink and submit 
your resume for consideration.
