CURATORIAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR UPPER-DIVISION UNDERGRADUATES

 

Laguna Art Museum is currently seeking a curatorial intern for a year-long
project in preparation for an upcoming exhibition,

emporary-art-in-southern-california-1964-1969> Best Kept Secret: UCI and the
Development of Contemporary Art in Southern California, 1964-1971. The
curatorial intern will work closely with the Museum's curator of
exhibitions, ideally twice a week leading up to the exhibition on October
29, 2011. 

 

Main duties will include:

*	Correspondence with artists 
*	Transcribing interviews 
*	Working closely with the director of communications 

*	Developing iPhone app for the exhibition 

*	Assistance with the following administrative tasks: 

*	Maintaining artist database and checklist 
*	Maintaining image database 
*	Coordinating development of exhibition catalogue 
*	Consolidating invitation lists from artists closer to the exhibition
date
