Hey everyone!

My name is Maisie Nguyen, and I am presently the Editor-in-Chief of a
relatively new creative magazine on campus, called p o p Magazine.  We are
currently in the process of recruiting new lead designers, along with
graphics and layout designers, who might be interested in joining p o p
Magazine's staff next Fall to not only experience first-hand the fun of
putting together a publication but to also build their leadership and
communication skills.

Are you someone who LOVES GRAPHIC & LAYOUT DESIGNING?  Are you interested
in building your resume by assuming a LEADERSHIP position?  Get 2 in 1 by
joining p o p Magazine's staff!

** P O P MAGAZINE IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING NEW LEAD DESIGNERS & GRAPHICS/
LAYOUT DESIGNERS! **

In preparation for our next year's staff team, p o p Magazine is opening
up 2 new positions for designing and layout, open to ALL students of ANY
major at UCI!

*****So, if you dig the idea of pop culture and are great at designing and
layout AND love to express your creativity, then it's YOU we're looking
for!*****

***  If you would like to take on a leadership position and strengthen
your leadership AND creative design skills, then apply to be a LEAD
DESIGNER!  ***

        Lead Designers will:

             -  lead and guide p o p Magazine's entire team of
                graphics and layout designers;
             -  hold regular designers' meetings to track the progress of
                graphics and layout designs;
             -  work closely with the Editor-in-Chief to help shape the
                magazine appearance before the final publication and
                assure quality design and layout;
             -  and have first-hand experience of what it means to see an
                entire publication be pieced together!

        Position Requirements:

              All applicants must be *advanced* at using both Adobe
Photoshop and InDesign.  In addition, *prior leadership
experience* and ability to work collaboratively in groups
is highly preferred.

***  If you would like to simply express your creativity through artistic
designs and embellish a published work with your own decorations, then
apply to be a GRAPHICS DESIGNER!  ***


        Graphics Designers will:

             -  create graphics designs for a portion of the articles in
                each magazine issue;
             -  design the layout for pages in the magazine;
             -  work together with one another and with the Lead Designer;
             -  attend regular meetings to update progress of graphics and
                layout designs;
             -  be able to express both individuality and creativity in
                every issue!

        Position Requirements:

             All applicants must be *advanced* at using both Adobe
Photoshop and InDesign.
