[UCI-Calit2] Complimentary Registration for 11/10 Technologies for Healthy Aging

Hi Friends of Calit2 – our semiannual signature Igniting Technology event is quickly approaching. On Thursday, Nov. 10 we will be showcasing Technologies for Healthy Aging. We are using a new payment process and because it does take a little more effort to register, we are offering free registration to those who want to attend. You will need to go through all the registration steps and at the very end when you are asked to put in your credit card information, there is a box on the right side of the screen that says enter discount code.  Please use the code word: boomer – you will be able to sign-up as our guest at no charge.  The presentations are followed by a networking buffet dinner. Hope to see you there!

According to a report by the Orange County Healthy Aging Initiative, the OC is home to over 3.1 million people and is the sixth most populous county in the nation. In 2016, 13.5% of the county's population is 65 and older. This number is projected to nearly double by 2040, when almost one in four residents will be 65 or older. In collaboration with non-profit organizations, health care professionals and seniors, Calit2 is working on a number of projects that will provide powerful personal tools to assist in healthy aging activities.
