Calit2 and UC Irvine's Integrated Nanosystems Research Facility (INRF)
are seeking proposals for a new Collaboration Initiation Grant. The
funding will support interdisciplinary research that utilizes
Calit2/BiON and INRF facility resources, with the goal of generating
preliminary data that can be used to submit a full proposal to a
granting agency.

Five projects will each receive seed funding of $10,000 as well as 40
hours of INRF technical staff time.

Applicants must be full-time UCI faculty or researchers, and each funded
project must produce a prototype and/or test results for incorporation
into a proposal submission to a granting agency within 12 months.
Proposals are due by May 31, 2011; awards will be announced by June 20,
2011.
