A dual-band millimeter-wave transceiver operating in the 22-29GHz and 77-81GHz short-range automotive radar bands is implemented in 0.18µm BiCMOS. The transceiver achieves 35/31dB receive gain, 4.5/8dB DSB NF, >60/30dB cross-band isolation, -114/-100.4dBc/Hz phase noise at 1MHz offset, and 14.5/10.5dBm transmit P1dB in the 24/79GHz bands. The 3.9x1.9mm2 transceiver chip consumes 0.51/0.615W.
