<div class=""><font class="" face="Calibri"><span class="" style="font-size: 14px;">McGill’s competitive admission policy requires that students score the equivalent of a British upper-second class honours; American 3.3-3.5 /4 minimum depending on the Program;
and Greek over 7.5 (contingent to the candidate’s undergraduate program).</span></font></div>

<div class=""><font face="Calibri" style="font-size: 14px;" class="">The Program not having any competency in the fields of Literature or Philology, students envisioning graduate studies in these domains should consider applying to any of the many other University
programs with dedicated specialists.<br class="">

The Program is currently involved in a series of collective research programs and has secured funding from various sources (the French national research agency, the Quebec and Canada research agencies, foundations). Therefore, we welcome applications, in particular
but not exclusively, from candidates wishing to work on one or more of the following research topics relevant to the Program's current research agenda.<br class="">

- The Greek immigration and diaspora (2nd phase of the funded <a href="https://immigrec.com/" class="">Immigrec</a> research program)</font></div>
<div class=""><font face="Calibri" style="font-size: 14px;" class="">- World War One and its aftermath in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean (<a href="https://www.efa.gr/index.php/fr/armee-d-orient" class="">funded program </a>of the French School at Athens)<br class="">
- Educational networks and instiutions in the Eastern Mediterranean 19th-20th c. (funded program of the Quebec and Canada research agencies)</font></div>
<div class=""><font face="Calibri" style="font-size: 14px;" class="">- Connected and transnational histories of Greece <br class="">
<br class="">
Students of Greek citizenship can benefit from the following:<br class="">
- the endowment by the S. Niarchos Foundation of two permanent graduate fellowships for students of Greek origin pursuing a graduate degree in any discipline at McGill;</font></div>
<div class=""><font face="Calibri" style="font-size: 14px;" class="">- research training and funding in digital humanities and oral history through the Immigrec research program.<br class="">

Knowledge of the French language would be a considerable asset as it would allow for a smoother integration in both Montreal and the research partnerships. <br class="">
Ph.d. candidates can obtain a dual Ph.d. degree between McGill and any French University thanks to the France/Quebec cotutelle agreement. <br class="">
