Gallant<br class="">(<a href="https://history.ucsd.edu/people/faculty/gallant.html" class="">https://history.ucsd.edu/people/faculty/gallant.html</a>),<br class="">Nicolas Family Chair of Modern Greek History,<br class="">University of California, San Diego, will give<br class="">the keynote lecture on the making of the documentary<br class="">``Violent August'' (<a href="http://violentaugust.com/" class="">http://violentaugust.com/</a>) about<br class="">the anti-Greek riots in Toronto on August 1918.<br class=""><br class="">The Conference will also showcase the research project ``Immigrec''<br class="">(<a href="https://immigrec.com/en" class="">https://immigrec.com/en</a>) on the history of Greek immigration to<br class="">Canada from the 1950s to 1970s.
