<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Search, Editors for the </strong><strong><em>Journal of Modern Greek Studies</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><br>
The Modern Greek Studies Association is seeking Editors for the <em>Journal of Modern Greek Studies</em> to succeed the current Editors, Artemis Leontis (Editor of the Humanities), Tom Gallant (Editor of the Social Sciences. Printed in two issues every year
with Johns Hopkins University Press, the Journal is the leading forum for the publication of scholarship on Modern Greek culture and society in English. The Association is looking for accomplished scholars, fluent in both English and Greek (including its various
registers), who can lead the Journal for a period of three years, a term of service that is renewable if the Editors so wish, subject to approval by the Association’s Executive Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em> </em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The principal duty of the Editors is to supervise the entire editorial process from the initial submission of a manuscript through its blind review process and to its eventual rejection or publication. The Editor’s work is supported
by two Associate Editors, two Book Review Editors, and the members of the JMGS Editorial Board, who normally serve three-year terms and who are appointed by the MGSA Executive Board with attention to the recommendations of the Editors. In recent years, the
JMGS has added new electronic and interactive features through its web version as well as a new on-line.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Interested applicants should submit a CV and a two-page statement outlining their vision for the Journal as a long-term scholarly and collaborative project and should also state the type of support they can expect from their
home institutions when they take on this unpaid position. Applicants’ statements should further mention any previous editorial experience. Please submit applications electronically (in pdf) by February 1, 2018 to the current chairperson of the Publications
Committee, Tassos Anastassiadis at <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Tassos.Anastassiadis@mcgill.ca</span>.</p>
