Toastmasters Founder's District Needs You!
Fellow Toastmaster,
There is a wealth of Toastmasters leadership opportunities available to you
outside of your club, and I need to be sure that you know how to volunteer.
But first, what's in it for you?
1. You will gain close access to proven Toastmasters leaders who will help
guide you in your self-improvement.
2. You will meet a great group of positive-minded people that are working
together for mutual improvement.
3. You will gain exposure to the "hidden" treasures of Toastmasters - the
educational opportunities that many Club members don't know about.
4. You will become a better communicator as you interact with Toastmasters
serving in a variety of positions and having a diversity of skills.
5. You will gain hands-on experience in leadership, motivation, delegation,
and management skills.
6. You will help others.
7. You will have FUN!
Leadership skills are important. Great works are seldom accomplished alone.
It takes a team of people to build a magnificent skyscraper.
If you want to contribute, we can use your talents. Can you
.Work at a registration desk?
.Help with event set-up?
.Plan an event?
.Make a flyer or newsletter on a computer?
.Make web pages?
.Answer a Table Topic at a demonstration meeting?
.Keep track of an address list?
.Work with the mass media?
.Help mentor other Toastmasters and clubs?
If you can do even *one* of these activities, we can utilize your talents.
There are some easy, one-time roles available, some key roles that will earn
you credit toward your Advanced Leader Silver award, and many roles
in-between.(There are roles besides Area Governor that provide Advanced
Leader Silver credit.)
If you would like to learn more about volunteering in Toastmasters, give me
a call, or send an e-mail, and we'll talk.
