ZotSpeak Toastmasters,

Are you ready to exaggerate? Do you love telling Tall Tales and want a
chance to turn that fishing story, travel memoir, or remembrance of the
good ol' days into a contest entry for our club contest? Well here is
your chance!

The ZotSpeak Tall Tale Contest will be taking place on Tuesday September
18th during our normal meeting time (noon to 1pm).

The Tall Tale contest is very similar to a normal meeting except that
all speakers that day will be regaling us with a 3 to 5 minute long tall
tale of their own making. After everyone has completed their speech the
rest of the members of the club get to vote for the best tale teller.
Think of it like a SuperSized Table Topics, with the bonus that this
SuperSizing will not add inches to our waistlines but might actually
help us lose some as we laugh at the tales told!

In order for this meeting to go well we need the following positions to
be filled for those not interested in having an active role to still
come listen and vote for a winner, and finally for more contestants to
sign up (we don't want to just give the title to Carolynn do we?)

*Pledge/Inspiration*:

Contestants so far:
*         Carolynn Bramlett,

I look forward to hearing your tales and have included the rules for the
tales below.

SPEECH PREPARATION

    * The subject for the Tall Tales speech shall be selected by the
      contestant.
    * Contestants must prepare their own three- to five minute speech,
which must be substantially original and certified as such to the
chief judge by the contestants prior to the presentation of the
speeches. Any quoted material must be so identified during the
      speech presentation.
    * The speech must be of a highly exaggerated, improbable nature and
have a theme or plot. Humor and props may be used to support or
      illustrate the speech.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

See you there!

Lindsey
