Humanities Institute Fall 2006 Lecture Series
The End of Oil

In the fall semester of 2006, the Humanities Institute at Scripps
College will sponsor a lecture series on the "The End of Oil." To
help us understand what a post-oil age may look like, we are inviting
energy analysts, economists, geologists, journalists, scientists and
environmentalists, as well as political scientists to discuss with us
the impact of the end of oil on the global economy, on the world's
geopolitical balance of power, on our food supply and way of life, as
well as on the environment and climate change.
