SLANGUAGE GALLERY: I’VE DONE THIS BEFORE
May 21 - June 11, 2005

Slanguage is proud to announce an exhibition of new works by emerging
Los Angeles based artists Saul Alvarez, Aaron Sandnes, and Kara Tanaka.
A window project by Christopher Coggan will also be on view.  An opening
reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 7:00 to
10:00p.m.

I’ve Done This Before is rooted in the philosophical idea of the eternal
return, a condition in which finite universal actions must reoccur again
and again, infinitely.  Using sculpture, sound, and image Alvarez,
Sandnes, and Tanaka articulate themes related to the potential of human
"effectiveness" within the possible condition of a circular existence
and predetermined fate.

Coalesent Messaging Number Five a window installation by Christopher
Coggan will also be opening in window project space at Slanguage.

Slanguage is located at 640 North Avalon Boulevard in Wilmington, Ca,
