Sailing: sailing events and ratings

To UCI Sailors:

Come out and Race, sign up for a class, get your rating, or just renew your
memberships

St. Patrick's Day Regatta 
Sat Mar 17th 1:30pm - 5:00pm 

We will be have a club race with our Shields fleet on Saturday March 17th.
Meet at the docks at 2:00. There will be a series of short races until 5:00.
For inexperienced crew, this a good opportunity to learn about racing. You
can come early for a crew orientation at 1:30 to learn what to expect on the
race course, and you will be assigned to a friendly, experienced skipper.

Work Party: Also, there will be a work party on Saturday March 24th, from
9:00 to 12:00. Come help our sailing club continue to benefit from having a
well maintained fleet.  No experience necessary, just grubbies, and
willingness to help out.  Drinks and snacks will be provided. RSVP
<mailto:jlibbets at uci.edu> jlibbets at uci.edu, so we get an idea who is coming.
No sailing till after the work day.

Spring Quarter Classes.

These are listed on the Campus Recreation Web site and you can sign up now.

Ther are lots of choices, and remember all UC student, faculty, staff and
alumni, may sign up and also may sign up a non affliated friend to take a
class with them ( must be 18 years s and older) For questions on what
classes to take, please email and we will help you find the right class.

Ratings:  We  will have Capri ratings coming up, let me know if you are
interested in getting your rating in the next few weeks, so I can get them
set up.

 

UCISA Membership renewals for Spring:  You should receive a form in the
mail, or you can stop by the ARC sales desk, or look on the CMapus REcre Web
site.
