Sailing: Capri ratings this weekend and Shields 1 class

Capri Ratings:  Saturday Aug 18 form 11am -3pm

 

This will be the on the water rating. If you need to take the written test,
you should do it before at the ARC sales desk.  Check their hours at
824-3738

If you are unable to make those hours, contact me and we will see if there
is an alternative time.

 

The practical test includes Capsizing as well as the information on the
check list.  You can down load that at
http://www.campusrec.uci.edu/outdoor/capricheck.pdf

The UCISA membership will be prorated for the end of the summer, so get
started sailing now.

You need to be there at 11am, to get started

 (If you are not sure if you are ready, and have taken the written test, you
may come down for a tutor session.

 

Remember the use of the boats, and UCISA is open to UC students, faculty,
staff, alumni and their spouses.

 

There will be additional ratings days in the near future,  email me if you
want to get your rating, but can not make this dates. jlibbets at uci.edu

 

Also we are looking at adding a Shields 1 class, beginning on Monday Aug 20
at 5:15.-8pm. It would meet for 3 weeks on Mondays and Fridays.
