Sailing: Classes and Capri ratings

Hi UCI Sailors:
This Saturday April 15 will be giving Capri Ratings at 1:30pm.  If you want
to sign up to get your rating, please email me jlibbets at uci.edu  RSVP
required. You need to have taken your written Capri test before you do the
on-the- water test.  Written test may be taken at the ARC sales desk during
business hours. Please call 824-3738 for their hours. Also Written test may
be taken at the sail base by appointment on Saturday at 12 noon  Let  us
know by email if you  will take the test this at the docks..
 
If you are taken the rating, be prepared to capsize.  For weather updates:
call the hotline at 824-5770 and we will update beginning at 11am.
 
More rating dates in May as well.  Check the sailing club calendar at
www.sailingclub.net for the upcoming dates.
 
Not Ready for your Capri rating? :  Take Capri 2 and practice up;  Two
classes offered this quarter;  Saturday 1:30-4:30pm and Wednesday 5:30-8pm.
Sign up at the ARC at  824-3738. The Saturday class starts this week, as
well as the Wednesday class.
 
CAPRI 1 Schedule change: Beginning  Sailing Capri on  Friday  from 2-4:30pm,
will not start until April 21.  Tell your friends to take the class and get
them out sailing.
