Fun Sail:

On Veteran's Day, November 11th, from 1:30 to 4ish (depending on the wind..)
UCISA is having a fun sail on the Shield's. I'm a huge fan of fun sails,
because honestly, I love to just go out, chill on the harbor, meet some new
people, and eat some snacks. This is a great chance to sail the larger (
30ft), faster boats if you have not had a chance, and it's also a great
event to bring people who've never sailed before out.

Anyone who is eligible to join UCISA can come, UCISA is open to anyone 18
and older (unless a UCI student) who is affiliated with the UC system like
student, faculty, staff or alumni or spouses. You're also allowed one
guest... so bring some people out for a great sail! The only real
requirement we do have is that all participants need to be able to swim,
fill out a waiver, and wear life jackets. A donation of $3 students, $5 all
others will be collected to help provide bottom cleaning for the boats.
Please wear close-toed non-marking shoes (no sandals).

You must sign-up at: space is limited.

Night Sail:
On Wednesday November 16th,come relax and socialize while we sail the
Shields around Newport Harbor for an evening Full moon sail. Meet at the
docks at 5:45pm. we will return by 8pm.Open to UCI students, faculty, staff
and alumni. Each of whom can bring a spouse or guest.
For crew, no sailing experience required, but you must be able to complete a
UCI waiver. Participants must be able to swim, be over 18 and will be
required to wear a life jacket. .You may bring snacks, sodas or water, but
no alcohol. Appropriate attire includes warm clothes and close-toed
non-marking shoes (no sandals).

A donation of $3 students, $5 all others will be collected to help provide
bottom cleaning for the boats.

Space is limited so sign-up at:

Time: 10am-1:30pm

Class dates: Nov 12, 19 ( no class Nov 25) and 3, 10 and 17th.

This is a great class for the those in the weekend Capri 1 classes who want
to work towards their Capri rating and/or e ready for taking a Shields class
this winter. This is a great review for anyone who wants more time in the
boats, or has not sailed in a while.

Cost:  $60 for UCI students, $70 for all others;

Please pre enroll at the ARC or by phone with a credit card (949) 824 3738

UC school, and spouses of the above. You may also sign up a guest (18 years
