Dear colleagues,

A few people have contacted me about the upcoming TESOL international 
convention (Teachers of English to Speakers of other Languages) in 
Long Beach, California.  My name may be listed in the program there 
because I was going to be part of a colloquium.  Unfortunately, I'll 
be out of California those dates and won't be attending the 
conference.  I'm sorry that I'll miss you.

TESOL is usually a great conference and Long Beach is a wonderful 
place for it.  For those of you going, I hope you enjoy both the trip 
and the conference--
