My 8 1/2 month old son, Mikey, gave me a great Father's Day present
on Sunday--our very first real conversation. Oh, don't get me wrong,
he's babbled lots of sounds before (including his first word, Da-da
:-)), but this was the first sustained interaction in which I would
say something, he would respond, I would reply, and on and on.
Here's the unedited transcrip of our talk:
Mark: Aaaaah!
Mike: Aaaaah!
Mark: Aaaaah!
Mikey: Aaaah!
Mark: Aaaah!
Mikey: Aaaah! Aaaah!
OK, I have to admit, the vocabulary is a bit stilted, but to really
have so much interaction, where I was talking to him and he was
talking back to me, was simply marvelous! I couldn't think of a
better present in the world.
Here, by the way, are updated family photos: http://members.cox.net/michaelkai
Which reminds me. I'm having so many darned problems with iPhoto.
Any serious iPhoto users out there? Mine crashes constantly :-( and
I can't figure out how to fix it.
cheers,
Mark
