Any Macintosh users out there who have switched from Eudora to Mail
(free email program that comes with OS X)? I'm thinking of switching
for a variety of reasons, and I'm wondering if it's worth the
trouble. (I have about 80,000 email messages saved on my computer, in
about 100 folders, with lots of "rules" for filtering mail and also
with a large address book.)
Two kinds of questions: (1) How do the two programs compare? Is
there anything you could do in Eudora that you can't do in Mail?
Vice-Versa? Any advantages to one or the other? Can Mail handle lots
of folders, with some of them very large?
(2) How's the conversion process? I know that folders can be
imported, but can filters be imported? Can an address book be
imported? Any tips to ease the conversion process?
Bottom line: should I do it?
