*********************************************************************

A couple of years ago, Heidi Shetzer, Christine Meloni, and I wrote a
popular book called Internet for English Teaching. The book was
geared for English as a Second or Foreign Language teachers who were
interested in integrating the Internet into instruction. It was
originally published by TESOL Publications (and can still be
purchased from them at http://www.tesol.org/pubs/).

Since then, the book has more recently been reprinted by the US State
Department Office of English Language Publications. People who are
living outside the US may be able to obtain the reprinted version
book for free or low cost (either single copies for yourself or
possibly multiple copies for workshops, etc.). To request a copy,
contact either of the following two sources and ask how to get a copy
of Internet for English Teaching, published by the US State
Department Office of English Language Publications: (a) the Public
Affairs or Cultural Affairs office of the nearest U.S. Embassy (see
list of embassies and links with contact information at
http://usembassy.state.gov/) or the US Government's Regional English
Language Officer in your region (see list at
http://exchanges.state.gov/education/engteaching/eal-elos.htm).

Finally, the book's Website, with links to how to order the book, is
located here:
http://www.gse.uci.edu/markw/ifet.html

I'm curious how this system works. If any of you are successful or
unsuccessful in obtaining a copy of the reprinted version of the book
(from the US Embassy or Regional English Language Officer), feel free
to let me know how the process went and how much you had to pay for
it, if anything.
